Individual Pedestal Dipping Sauce Bowl Cup Hand Painted Japan Vintage Ceramic

Very pretty hand-painted outdoor scene.
Shaped like an egg cup but not very deep (even though an egg will sit in it) so guessing this is an individual dipping sauce item? Clean with no cracks or chips and the tiniest flea bite. The bottom I believe has Japanese words on it and this was found with other vintage Japanese items. It is about 1 1/2" tall x 2 1/4" across the top rim with a bowl depth of about 3/4". White spots are the studio lights reflecting, not damage.
