    Description

    Up for bid is a fine contemporary chawan with an iron rust glaze, with storage box. The piece is 4 ½ inches in diameter and stands 3 inches tall. The piece has a beautiful oxidized iron rust glaze. The unglazed base shows a soft white clay body. There are no marks. It comes with a traditional Japanese wood box with ribbon tie, sadly unsigned as well.
    Condition on the piece is very good. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. A fine contemporary chawan!
